Ski Resorts in Maine

Skiers JumpingTucked away in the northeast corner of New England, the ski resorts in Maine are in an area where snow is plentiful, and for nearly six months a year, the temperatures are low enough for snowmaking.

They range in size, from quaint family run ski mountains to much larger, full-service ski resorts, but...

...one thing all of the Maine ski areas share in common is the wonderful hospitality that is so much a part of skiing in New England. With excellent snow conditions and the warm welcome, it's no wonder winter sports enthusiasts from near and far love a Maine ski vacation.

Why Ski in Maine?

Although Maine ski resorts and ski mountains are located throughout the White Mountains of Maine, and well beyond, they are easy to reach -even if you are "from away".

And when you arrive, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Many skiers from New York and Pennsylvania travel only as far north as Vermont and New Hampshire on their ski vacations...

...often leaving the ski resorts in Maine a little less crowded.

Alpine Ski Resorts in Maine

The Ski Maine Association provides the following list of alpine ski areas in Maine. For directions to each of the ski resorts in Maine, and additional information regarding...

Ski Area Boundary..the number of beginner, intermediate and expert trails, terrain parks, Nordic skiing snowboarding, cross-country skiing, tubing, snowmaking, ski schools, ski packages, day care, and hours of operation, I have provided the ski area URLs.

The websites for the individual ski resorts in Maine are also a great resource for...

...Maine ski conditions, ski reports, hotel rooms, inns and lodges, and snowboard and ski rental information.

But, don't take my word for it!...

I believe the Maine ski information that I listed below is accurate. However, I am a third-party to it.

I don't want you disappointed, and we would both feel badly, if one of the ski resorts in Maine that you chose for your ski weekend actually had 1,000 less vertical feet than I have indicated here. So, before you begin your Maine ski trip...

...please check the information for yourself, at the Maine ski area website addresses that I have provided. Also, if you find an error, please let me know!
