I live in Michigan and we usually vacation in October, November or December. Where should we go where it is warm and the food is outrageous?

Hi Mike... Thanks for writing in. If you are inquiring about Maine vacations, it is going to be tough to find a place that would be considered "warm" during the months of October, November, or December.
However, it's all in perspective...
...since Maine temperatures from October to December are typically warmer than they are in January and February.
To give you an idea of what you might expect during fall and early winter, here is a breakdown of average monthly temperatures in Portland, ME, for that period.
October - Average High: 58 °F, Average Low: 37 °F
November - Average High: 47 °F, Average Low: 30 °F
December - Average High 36 °F, Average Low: 19 °F
Keep in mind...
...Portland, Maine is on the water, near the midcoast of Maine. As you travel north and inland, toward the lakes and mountains regions, you will find cooler temperatures.
As for outrageous food, Portland, Maine has been referred to by many people, as "The Foodie Capital of the Country".
It is said that there are more restaurants in Portland, Maine, per capita, than anywhere else in the United States. This harbor city truly does have a wonderful abundance of restaurants, delis, cafes and pubs - many of them award-winning eateries.
However, that is not to say that you will not find wonderful restaurants with great food in other parts of the state. There are hidden treasures anywhere you visit in Maine.
What if Maine's late fall and early winter weather doesn't suit you...
...perhaps someone will post a Comment and suggest their favorite warm weather getaway. A splendid vacation location where you be able to sit poolside and sip umbrella drinks!
