In this decades old tradition, said to be "Maine's
version of NASCAR"...
participants take the competition seriously. With reported top
speeds over 60 miles an hour and racing by Class, many boat
follow the lobster boat "race circuit" from mid-June to late August,
as it makes its way from
Midcoast, Maine, to Downeast.
And the fun is not just on the water...
tourists alike, arrive early to watch the action from dockside -
their favorites or letting the crowd pick one for them, just as they
did at the Friendship,

Association (MLBRA), there will be 13 dates and locations
for watching these
fierce competitions during the coming summer season.

controversy carries over from a previous race!
