Hi JJ, It sounds as though you are one of the lucky people who will be attending the 64th Annual Rockland, Maine Lobster Festival!

For anyone who will be in the area between August 3rd and August 7th, 2011, this is a great event to include in August Maine vacations. The festival takes place annually near the beginning of the month.

Below is an answer to your questions on where is Rockland, Maine, and information on how to get to Rockland, Maine Lobster Festival.

Where is Rockland, Maine?

Rockland is located on the coast of Maine, in the Midcoast Region. It overlooks Penobscot Bay - part of the northern Atlantic Ocean.

Where is the Rockland, Maine Lobster Festival held?

The Maine Lobster Fest is at Harbor Park, a prime waterfront location in downtown Rockland.

From Boston (Approximately 185 miles)...

Take I-95 into Maine. Follow I-95 North to I-295, Exit 44, South Portland/Downtown Portland. Take I-295 North to Exit 28, which is U.S. Route 1 North (Coastal Route) Brunswick/Bath. Follow U.S. Route 1 to Thomaston. Rockland is another four miles on Coastal Route 1.

From Portland (Approximately 82 miles)...

Take I-295 North to Exit 28, which is U.S. Route 1 North (Coastal Route) Brunswick/Bath. Follow U.S. Route 1 to Thomaston. Rockland is another four miles on Coastal Route 1.

From Quebec, Canada (Approximately 251 miles)...

Take 73 South to 173 South. At the U.S. border 173 South becomes 201 South. Exit 95 South, continue to the City of Augusta. In Augusta, take 17 East to Rockland.

Alternative Route from the South...

To avoid the often times heavy summer traffic on U.S. Route 1, you may want to take I-95 to Exit 109 Augusta and follow Route 17 East into Rockland.
