Can you bring a dog to the Fryeburg Fair?

Only guide dogs are allowed at the Fryeburg Fair in Maine - no other pets are allowed on the fairgrounds. However, I called the camping office (207-935-2912) and asked...

..."Are dogs allowed at the Fryeburg Fair campgrounds?" I was told they are welcome at both the Fairview and Trackside campsites.

If you have never before visited Fryeburg, Maine, you are in for a treat. It is a lovely town, with gorgeous mountains as a backdrop, and should be at, or near, peak fall foliage during the week of the Fryeburg Fair.

For anyone reading this who is not familiar with the Fryeburg Fair, Maine, it is Maine's Blue Ribbon Classic, with...

...a calf scramble, a fireman's muster, a 4x4 pull, sheep dog trials, shuffleboard, a skillet throw, a pig scramble, a tractor pull, and a Grand Parade on Saturday.

And that's not all...

According to the Fryeburg Fair Association more free entertainment is provided at this fair than at any other agricultural fair in the world. It is a truly an event not to be missed!
