...September is the best time to visit Maine. As summer gives way to fall...

...the average September temperature in Maine is typically cooler than the warmer months of July and August.

And with school age children back in class, the height of Maine's tourist season has passed. However, through early fall...

...most lodging accommodations, restaurants, shops, museums, galleries, and other Maine tourist attractions will remain open, giving Maine visitors a chance to enjoy the fun activities and events in Maine, September 2010.

...some of the best agricultural fairs in Maine, the Camden Maine Windjammer Festival, a Bikefest, the Bethel Chowdah Cookoff, a Tri-State Fishing Tournament, art shows, car shows, and truck shows - all perfect for the cooler days and nights!
