Activities and Events in Maine
September 2010
Yes, there were lots of things to do in Maine
during the summer, almost an overload, but when you look at the list of
Maine
activities and events in September 2010, you will see that
the
fun continues. As a
matter
of fact, for some people...
...September is the best
time to visit Maine. As summer gives way to fall...
...the
average September temperature in Maine is typically cooler than
the warmer months of July and August.
And with school
age
children back in class, the height of Maine's tourist season
has
passed. However, through early fall...
...most
lodging accommodations, restaurants, shops, museums, galleries, and
other Maine tourist
attractions
will remain open, giving Maine visitors
a chance to enjoy the fun activities and events in Maine,
September 2010.
Beginning with a variety of Labor
Day events, festivals, and holiday entertainment, the
September
calendar of Maine activities is filled with...
...some of the best agricultural fairs in Maine,
the Camden Maine Windjammer Festival, a Bikefest, the Bethel Chowdah
Cookoff, a Tri-State Fishing Tournament, art shows, car shows, and
truck shows - all perfect for the cooler days and nights!
And what if you need a rainy
day activity? Many Maine September events are geared
for outdoor fun. However, you will often find tents or other
shelter nearby that can serve as temporary refuge. If rain
is forecast,
just bring along an umbrella or hooded rain jacket, and
remember that a few raindrops can be part of the fun!
