Although the schedule of events for Ogunquit Mardi Gras 2014 has not yet been posted (as of this writing)...
...in past years the event included a Hat and Mask Parade, Ice Sculpture Demonstrations, a Mardi Gras King and Queen Crowning Competition, plenty of costumes, food, live entertainment and other traditional Mardi Gras celebration activities.
The Ogunquit 2014 Mardi Gras Weekend will undoubtedly be equally as fun!
Great family entertainment at the Annual WinterFest at Black Mountain, for skiers and non-skiers. Past event have included live music, ski and snowboard events, horse drawn wagon rides, sled rides. and a scenic lift ride to a summit barbecue are scheduled throughout the weekend.

Maine Restaurant Week provides participating restaurants an excellent opportunity to showcase their establishments during what is otherwise a quiet time of year. Not only do the restaurants in Maine benefit, but also their suppliers and other local businesses.

The dresses, music, reception venues, menu planning and other great wedding ideas will have you well on your way with plans for your "big day"! Come early to the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch. Special gifts will be available for the first 100 brides-to-be.
Hunting, fishing and sporting goods products will be on display at the University of Maine Field House. The whole family is invited. Adults and children 12 and older: $8:00 Admission, Weekend Bracelet for all shows: $15.00 (must keep bracelet intact all weekend), Children under 12 are Free.
The 2014 Sebago Lake Derby (the one for kids at heart) will be held February on Saturday 15 and Sunday, February 16.
Paul Fuller Promotions presents several antique shows at the Bath Middle School on Congress Avenue, annually. Other 2014 show dates include January 12th, February 9th, and April 13th.

Held at the Augusta Civic Center, this boat show will feature a great selection of new 2014 models, with many boat dealers offering "affordable and starter boats, motors, and trailer packages".

With builders present to discuss their work, this is a collection of the finest wooden boats and fiberglass boats, built on the East Coast, including sailboats, powerboats, canoes, kayaks, and rowing boats.
In honor of Saint Patrick's Day, every year the City of Ships becomes the City of the Irish. There are weekend long festivities including poetry and music, the 5K "Shamrock Sprint", Tug-of-War, a Blarney Ball, an Irish Baking Contest, and of course, one of - if not the - biggest St. Patrick's Day Parades in Maine.
Whatever the size of your old mattress - king, queen, full or double - do your best to make it the best looking and fastest on the course and you'll be eligible for a prize. The fastest mattress wins a queen mattress and box spring from Americas Mattress and Furniture Gallery.

Over 100 exhibiters, including local builders and contractors, home improvement stores, appliance and electronics dealers, service providers, and many others, will be on hand at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee at 190 Birch Street in Lewiston to provide you with creative ideas for building, remodeling and home improvements.
Maine Huts & Trails’ 6th Annual Ski Marathon & Tour will be taking place on Sunday, March 16th. A point-to-point race/tour through the hills of Western Maine, the event will feature 3 distances, a 60K, 40K and 20K, and is limited to 175 participants in total. Awards and prizes will be presented to the top three male and female participants for each of the three races. Food and refreshments will be provided over the course of the event and a free post-race lunch will be served at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center, where each race concludes.
Event locations is at 496 Main Street, in Kingfield. Cost is $45 per person for the 20K; $55 per person for the 40K and $115 for the race and lodging package; $125 per person for the 60K which includes the required lodging package.

Join the fun as Shawnee Peak puts on their annual Spring celebration, with barbeque burgers and dogs, live entertainment, and of course - lots of soft snow and hours of lounging on Shawnee Peak Blizzard's Pub party deck.
At 1:30 the Slush Cup begins. Until the law of gravity gets the best of them skiers and boarders will test their skills when they skim the surface of a 100 foot man made pond!

The Curran Homestead will be celebrating its Hibernian ancestry with Irish music and food, and welcoming spring by turning sap into syrup on their wood stove.
Join the Mysterious Destinations team for a Midnight Explore at the haunted Winter Street Center in Bath - 880 Washington Street. Two floors of documented paranormal activity will offer plenty of chances for new evidence to be found by YOU, after a brief training about paranormal detection equipment, how to use it, and the history of the building.
Mysterious Destinations will provide a variety of equipment for guests, though participants are also encouraged to bring their own gear, with cameras and flashlights recommended.
The price for the Midnight Explore is only $35 per person with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Winter Street Center. Hot coffee, bottled water and light refreshments will be provided.

Family Fun Weekend at Black Mountain is just what the event name implies. Fun and games are planned for your entire family - even for family members who don't ski or snowboard!
Both kit models and hand creations will be on display at this family oriented event at the Owl's Head Transportation Museum. Antique model steam engines, cars, planes and trains will be exhibited and Maine weather permitting, there will be an indoor and outdoor airplane and car model demonstrations. Make-and-take family activities are also planned.
The Maine Jewish Film Festival, MJFF, has "grown to be one of the best-attended, most well-respected, and highly-anticipated cultural events in the State. We attract a diverse, sophisticated, and deeply loyal audience base who loves independent film."

Each spring Maine's maple producers open their doors and welcome the public to Maine Maple Sunday. Many sugarhouses offer free tastings and live demonstrations on how maple syrup is produced. Some of them serve maple syrup treats, such as syrup on pancakes or ice-cream, and provide sleigh rides or wagon ride, live music and a variety of family activities.
This unique Maine event, is held annually on the fourth Sunday of March. However, some sugarhouses have extended dates, while a few others have alternate dates. Be sure to check schedules with each sugarhouse.
Held at the Sunday River Ski Resort, this event was previously the Maine Handicap Skiing Ski-A-Thon...
It’s the only time during the year when a "majority of our participants, volunteers, and supporters are all together, so we make sure it's a fun time."
I don't know yet what's on the schedule for the 2014 event, but a previous year's fun included, games and entertainment, a fun race, an obstacle course hosted by the Parrot Head Club of Maine, an activities tent with demos of adaptive equipment, kids' arts and crafts, Cassie the Therapeutic Donkey, free massages from the Maine Sports Massage Team, and much more!
Celebrating "creative facial hair" the Mustache Pageant and Film Festival at the Port City Civic Center is truly a unique event - complete with a cat-walk!
The 2014 Bridal Event Showcase on will be held from 11:30 AM -3:00 PM at The Captain's Galley Banquet Center in Old Orchard Beach.
