For a great fall treat you may want to head to the 180 acre Maine, Fryeburg Fair.. Along with 3,000 horses, goats, llamas, poultry, rabbits, sheep swine, oxen and steer will be the dozens of juried craftsman and artists who make it to this small western Maine town each year.

I just visited this tiny fishing village in Georgetown - referred to as the "prettiest harbor in Maine" - for the third time yesterday and was just as awed by it's beauty as I was on my first visit.

Finally! The Maine Lobster Festival is almost here.

The festival runs from July 29th through August 2nd in Rockland, ME. I just talked with several property owners who told me rooms are still available - not many - but if you want to spend a few days visiting the area you still may be able to make a reservation.
